Restaurant Kjøkkenet, in the centre of Svolvær, Lofoten
The resort’s gourmet restaurant is named “Kjøkkenet” (the Kitchen), and its décor and furnishings
are very muchin keeping with the room local carpenters built more than a century ago.
From the very beginning, theowner’s objective was to recreate the inviting and homey atmosphere of
her mother’s kitchen, the heart ofher childhood home, and pay a nostalgic tribute to mothers
The restaurant serves traditional dishes from the North of Norway, based on high-quality, locally
sourced ingredients. Guests seem to love both the ambiance and the food, since they keep coming back
again and again.
